FEB 23-24 | ROBLE GYM ROOM 139
Stanford Repertory Theater (SRT) seeks Stanford undergraduates to join the 2017 company, working on SRT’s 19th summer festival, Chekhov and Meyerhold: The Many Faces of Farce.
The Festival includes productions of three Chekhov farces, The Bear, The Proposal, and The Anniversary, followed by a devised piece based on Vsevolod Meyerhold’s 1935 adaptation of these same plays, entitled 33 Swoons. All shows will be directed by SRT Associate Artistic Director Alex Johnson.
Supported by a VPUE grant, student company members will be paid as SRT company members, working as performers and/or production staff, and will be involved in all aspects of the summer festival. VPUE stipends total $640/week for 8 weeks, from July 5 through August 27.
