Reading Group, Science and Technology in the Postcolonial World

We will read two pieces that will serve as an introduction to and a contextualization of the themes of the workshop. These are "Pramoedya's Chickens: postcolonial studies of technoscience" by Warwick Anderson and Vinceanne Adams, and "'Where Every Prospect Pleases and Only Man is Vile': Laboratory Science as Colonial Discourse" by Warwick Anderson. Coffee and pastries will be provided.
