Thursday November 01, 2012 | 05:30
-07:30 PM
| Stanford Humanities Center
Honoring the state’s rich Asian American history and culture and the university’s regional geography, this event brings together an exciting and distinguished set of graphic narrative writers from California, including Gene Luen Yang (American Born Chinese, Prime Baby, The Eternal Smile), Derek Kirk Kim (The Eternal Smile, Mythomania, Same Difference and Other Stories) and Rina Ayuyang (Namby Pamby, Whirlwind Wonderland) in conversation with Professor Stephen Sohn. These artists bring together the richness of local places and spaces to their dynamic representations of racial and ethnic communities.
