European Entrepreneurship & Innovation @ Stanford Engineering (ME421)

In Session Four of 'European Entrepreneurship' we present two leading Bay Area software startups that are currently entering the European consumer and enterprise software services marketplace. Stripe (payment systems) has elected to base their European HQ out of Dublin, whereas Weebly (website design and hosting) decided upon Berlin as their central EU location. The speakers will discuss their decision-making processes for deciding which countries to enter initially (and how to enter), as well as the many ways in which product design, development, sales, marketing and localization must be adapted when entering Europe and international markets outside the USA.
