In the Eyes of Women: The Case of Iran

Faryar Javaherian, an Iranian architect and curator who has written extensively on women photographers in Iran, will discuss She Who Tells a Story. Born in Mahshad, Khorassan, raised in Paris, France and educated in the United States, Javaherian co-founded Gamma Consultants, the leading firm in museum and Persian garden design in Iran. Her buildings have earned widespread recognition as a premier example of Iranian-Modern style. She is currently completing the Greater Khorassan Museum in Mashahd. She is a visiting Scholar at MIT, where she is researching her next exhibition, The Art of the Iranian Picnic. Refreshments will be provided, and guests are welcome to explore the exhibition after the talk.
