Introduction to Meditation for Staff and Faculty

You will be introduced to three ways to meditate so you can select and develop a practice that is right for you at this time. Learn first hand how meditation promotes inner peace, emotional balance, concentration, health, well-being, compassion and altruism. Join us to delight in learning how to meditate and nurture inner resources that support a life of sustained excellence, innovation and engaged service.

Tia Rich, Ph.D. teaches meditation for the School of Medicine’s Health Improvement Program and directs Stanford’s Contemplation by Design program. Her meditation teaching experience began with completion of the Himalayan International Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy 18-month full-time residential teacher-training program in 1981.

Open to Stanford staff and faculty only. Current Stanford ID card required upon check-in.
