Literature and Religion in a Secular World: Sacrality, Redemption and the Flesh

An invitation to all Spanish speakers in and around Stanford: the Department of Iberian and Latin American Cultures (ILAC) invites you to attend a panel entitled “Literature and Religion in a Secular World: Sacrality, Redemption and the Flesh.”

Aníbal González of Yale University will deliver a keynote on Julio Cortázar’s Rayuela (1963), followed by presentations by Jenny Haase of Humboldt University of Berlin and Monica VanBladel of Stanford University on the sacred and secular in Latin American literature from the late nineteenth through the mid-twentieth centuries.
