Mary Lefkowitz (Wellesley) "Piety and Impiety in Euripides' Heracles"

In “Piety and Impiety in Euripides’ Heracles” she will show how ancient and modern notions about Euripides’  revisionist treatment of the gods have distorted our understanding of divine action in his dramas. Professor Lefkowitz has chosen to talk about the Heracles because of all Euripides’ plays it shows the behavior of the gods in the most negative light.
