A Reading with Stegner Fellows Casey Thayer and Lila Savage

This is an Archive of a Past Event

Casey Thayer, Wisconsin born and bred, earned degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Northern Michigan University. His work has appeared in American Poetry Review, Devil’s Lake, North American Review, Poetry, and elsewhere. He is currently developing and revising his second book manuscript, a collection of poems backboned by an exploration of gun culture.

Lila Savage is a Sami-American who grew up in Minneapolis. She discontinued graduate work in American studies to pursue labor journalism but ended up caring for people with Alzheimer’s for almost a decade. Her work explores themes of queer femininity, marginalization, frailty and survival. While at Stanford she hopes to finish her novel.
