A Reading with Stuart Dybek, the Stein Visiting Writer

The Start of Something: The Selected Stories of Stuart Dybek (Jonathan Cape/Vintage) was published last fall.  Dybek is the author of five books of fiction and two volumes of poetry.  His fiction, poetry and nonfiction appears widely in journals such as The Atlantic, Harper’s, The New Yorker, Tin House, and Poetry.  His work has received numerous awards, among them a PEN/Malamud Prize, a Lannan Award, a Whiting Award,  and four O.Henry Prizes, and fellowships from the NEA, the Guggenheim Foundations, and the MacArthur Foundation. Dybek is the Stein Visiting Writer at Stanford University for winter 2016-2017. After Stanford, Dybek will return to his position as Northwestern University Distinguished Writer in Residence.
