Slavic Languages and Literatures
Courtney Weaver is a senior majoring in Slavic Languages and Literatures, and minoring in History. Academically, she is primarily interested in Russia's independent medias, and is currently doing comparative research for an Honors Thesis on the Russian blogosphere and 19th century mass circulation press. For the Humanities Center, she is working with Geballe Associate Fellow Steven Lee on a project titled "Utopia's Coasts: Tom Stoppard in Moscow," which examines the Russian adaptation of Stoppard's "Coast of Utopia," and the trilogy's reception by its respective New York and Muscovite audiences.
