How is Innovation Taught? On the Humanities and the Knowledge Economy

Former fellow (2008-09) Dan Edelstein’s recent essay in Liberal Education reflects on the central role the humanities play in developing innovative thinking. Edelstein asserts that while the humanities are not more innovative than the sciences, they do require students to practice innovative thinking earlier on in their studies.
