Melih Levi, doctoral student in Comparative Literature, works on the way in which a sense of place and various forms of movement shape literary experiences and poetic forms, structures and expressions, how poetics is informed by various political emotions and nationalist discourses (specifically, nostalgia), the relationship between form and meaning, and the ways in which individual acts of translation interpret and negotiate this relationship.
 
George Rosa-Acosta, doctoral student in Iberian and Latin American Cultures, works on discourses of identity and revolution in Hispanic and Lusophone cultural production, from early modernity to the present.
