We invite faculty and students to join anthropologist Jafari Allen in a discussion on decoloniality. Please RSVP in order to receive an electronic copy of the excerpt of Professor Allen's forthcoming book by emailing Pablo Seward at

Associate professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Miami, Jafari Allen is author of the critical ethnography of race, gender, sexuality, and revolution, ¡Venceremos?: The Erotics of Black Self-Making in Cuba; editor of "Black/Queer/Diaspora" – a special issue of GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian and Gay Studies; and author of numerous scholarly and popular articles, book chapters, and blog posts.
