The Asian Americas workshop provides a unique venue for graduate students and professors from the humanities and social sciences to discuss common concerns about new developments in Asian American studies. The 2005-2006 workshop is designed to broaden our conception of Asian America. It will explore the transnational critique of Asian American studies, which calls for an exploding of national boundaries, as well as the panethnic and interracial critique of Asian America, which calls for Asian Americans not to be studied as a racially isolated group.
