Description

In a time of great academic specialization, the discipline of logic is prominent in having academic themes that cut across schools and disciplines. While interconnections between the humanities and sciences have become increasingly tenuous, logic continues to bridge these gaps and encourage interdisciplinary work, both among the humanities and between the humanities and sciences. This workshop will focus on issues of formal semantics in logic linguistics and computer science; history and philosophy of mathematics, including the application of mathematics in the empirical sciences; and logics of information, communication, and belief revision.
