Carolina Armenteros is an intellectual historian of Europe ca. 1750-1914. She is the author of The French Idea of History: Joseph de Maistre and his Heirs, 1794-1854 (Cornell, 2011), and the co-editor of Joseph de Maistre and the Legacy of Enlightenment (Oxford, 2011), Joseph de Maistre and his European Readers: From Friedrich von Gentz to Isaiah Berlin (Brill, 2011), and The New enfant du siècle: Joseph de Maistre as a Writer (St. Andrews, 2010).
