Philippe Huneman

Philippe Huneman is a philosopher of biology, working mainly on issues about evolutionary biology. His main interests are : the variety of evolutionary explanations, causation and explanation in biology, the relationships between ecology and evolution, the issue of individuality in biology related to the “evolutionary transitions” program and the formal definitions of emergence; and the concept of organism and its role in current biology.
