Stefanos Geroulanos is Assistant Professor of European History at New York University. He is the author of An Atheism that is not Humanist Emerges in French Thought (Stanford University Press, 2010) and the co-author of Experimente im Individuum: Kurt Goldstein und die Frage des Organismus (forthcoming 2013). In 2011 he was a visiting fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, and his first essay for Republics of Letters derives from his research there.
