Dr. Preity Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gender and Women's Studies at The University of Rhode Island. She is an Indo-Guyanese queer scholar, activist, and educator whose work examines women’s loving women relationships, violence, and LGBTQ rights in Guyana.
