Thomas Winn

Thomas Winn is a Doctoral Candidate in Philosophy at the University of Dundee. His work Letting the Riddle of Being Be extends the concept of letting-be from later years of Martin Heidegger into the postmodern problematics tackled by Gianni Vattimo, Alenka Zupančič and Slavoj Žižek. He has published three entries for The Vattimo Dictionary (Edinburgh University Press) and two extensive papers on Friedrich Nietzsche (“On From Zarathustra: From Becoming to Letting”) and G.W.F. Hegel and Martin Heidegger (“Heidegger’s Hegel”) for Philosophy Portal. His paper “Vattimo’s Gift: Letting Weakness Be” is soon to be published by Philosophy Today. He is also a Visiting Researcher at the UPF Center for Vattimo’s Philosophy and Archives.
