Girl Talk vs. the internet filtered through the brain of one Evan Roth: A brief thought on internet culture

When people say that the internet doesn't have any culture, I respectfully disagree. i.e...

Cache Rules Everything Around Me from Evan Roth on Vimeo.

For example, here's one definition of the term:

- Culture refers to the cumulative deposit of knowledge, experience, beliefs, values, attitudes, meanings, hierarchies, religion, notions of time, roles, spatial relations, concepts of the universe, and material objects and possessions acquired by a group of people in the course of generations through individual and group striving.

- Culture is the systems of knowledge shared by a relatively large group of people.

- Culture is communication, communication is culture.

Nowhere in that definition is it stated that culture has to be pretty.

My Colloquies are shareables: Curate personal collections of blog posts, book chapters, videos, and journal articles and share them with colleagues, students, and friends.

My Colloquies are open-ended: Develop a Colloquy into a course reader, use a Colloquy as a research guide, or invite participants to join you in a conversation around a Colloquy topic.

My Colloquies are evolving: Once you have created a Colloquy, you can continue adding to it as you browse Arcade.
