Interactive Arcade Features

Jan 30, 2026

Did you know that there are several ways a registered user can interact with the dynamic content on Arcade? Registration is open to all; those who are interested in joining the conversation should start by requesting an account on our registration page. Once signed in, users can save pieces to their personal Colloquies, comment on published pieces, or submit scholarship to an open Colloquy.

Save to My Colloquies

The Colloquies portion of Arcade is home to curated gatherings of intellectual work in various modes - book chapters, journal articles, videos of lectures, and more. Registered users can become their own curators by remixing content they find on Arcade (in both the Interventions and Colloquies segments of the site) into their own personal Colloquy. A button under the title of each item permits readers to create their own collections.

Personal Colloquies can be shared with friends for discussion, a class or a reading group in place of a printed reader, or maintained for personal reflection.

For those who want to engage directly with a particular piece on Interventions or in a Colloquy, Arcade has a commenting feature. At the very bottom of each page, readers can find the comment box.

While critiques and scholarly debate are welcome in the comments, we ask that the conversation remain civil and respectful.

Submit to this Colloquy

Are you reading a Colloquy and realize that you have a piece that would be a good fit for the topic? Or that you would be interested in writing one? Or perhaps you recently watched a video of a lecture, or encountered an article, that you think would complement the works already included? On the Colloquy's home page, just under the cover image and the introductory essay, use the "Submit to this Colloquy" button.

Find the "Submit to this Colloquy" button on the home page of each Colloquy.

Once you make your submission on the Submit Content form, your response will be sent to the Colloquy curators, who will contact you regarding adding your piece to the Colloquy.

The Arcade team looks forward to seeing the ways our readers will join our conversations in 2026 and beyond.
