The Art of Science

This is an Archive of a Past Event

The annual Art of Science Exhibition celebrates the aesthetics of research and explores the interconnected nature of science and art. Each year we receive over 100 submissions from members of the Stanford community (spread across 20+ different departments), ranging from Materials Science to English, Geology to Stem Cell Biology, and Psychology to Art History. An exhibition showcasing the best pieces will take place on Friday, May 23, between 4 and 6 pm, in the first floor atrium of the Packard Building, near Bytes Cafe. The competition will be judged by a distinguished panel of Stanford's professors in both Art and Science. Cash prizes will be awarded at 5:30 pm, and light refreshments will be served.

We invite all members of the Stanford community to submit art to the competition at mrs.stanford.edu (the deadline for submissions is Friday, May 22, 2015).

This event is open to the public, and is organized by the Stanford Materials Research Society and co-sponsored by Stanford IEEE.
