Please join us for a bite-sized romp through the world's most popular operetta: Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II. This one-hour version is based on the Berlin Staatsoper 1929 recording which preserves the drama and comedy to fit on a 78" record. In keeping with the cosmopolitan flair of old Vienna, you will hear a mish-mash of languages: the story in English, and the beautiful songs in German with a smattering of French, Italian, and even Hungarian.
