Educational Neuroscience: Your Child's Brain and Early Literacy, Bruce McCandliss

Imaging the brain in action is starting to change the way we view education. How does brain activity change as children learn new cognitive skills, like reading? How does this challenge differ from one brain to the next, and how can interventions help those who are struggling?Bruce McCandliss is a professor at the Graduate School of Education. Through the Stanford Neurosciences Institute, he studies how the brain changes in response to education. His research has led to increased understanding of how children learn to read.
