Film Screening: David Lynch's "Wild at Heart" (1990)

This Palme d'Or winning black-comedy stars Nicolas Cage as Sailor Ripley, an ex-con with a penchant for snakeskin jackets and Elvis Presley movies who finds himself on the run from his young lover's domineering mother.  In true Lynchian style the film owes as much to The Wizard of Oz as it does to the classic road movie, creating ultimately what the director describes as the story of "finding love in Hell."
This film screening is part of the DLCL Fall 2014 Film Series, "On The Road." Learn more about the series, and see a complete list of screenings here.
