Film Screening: Nuri Bilge Ceylan's "Once Upon A Time In Anatolia" (2011)

Co-winner of the Cannes’ Grand Prix and based on a true experience, this film follows three police cars on a long night-ride through the Anatolian steppe in search of a dead body.  Across their dark journey through a sublime landscape, the officers discover harsh truths and surreal scenes of beauty.  An intense psychological crime drama, Ceylan’s masterpiece seamlessly moves between the psyche of his characters and the harsh environment they live in to sketch a story of a violent crime from start to finish.
This film screening is part of the DLCL Fall 2014 Film Series, "On The Road." Learn more about the series, and see a complete list of screenings here.
