Join us for the annual Stanford Human Cities Expo, a day-long celebration bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives on advancing a human-centered approach to cities.

The Fall 2016 Expo will feature interactive exhibits, presentations from Human Cities Initiative classes, and keynotes from distinguished scholars and practitioners. Special highlights include an exhibit on the UN Habitat III conference in Quito, Ecuador and community-based projects in local Bay Area cities. This event is free and open to the public.

1:30-3pm: International Urbanization Seminar Presentations

3:30-4pm: Miriam Greenberg, Professor of Sociology and Founder of the Urban Studies Research Cluster, University of California, Santa Cruz

4:30-6pm: Defining Smart Cities Presentations



The Human Cities Expo is organized by the Stanford Human Cities Initiative with support from the Program on Urban Studies, Haas Center for Public Service, John A. Blume Earthquake Engineering Center, Stanford Urban Resilience Initiative, International Policy Studies, Earth Systems Program, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the Stanford d.school and Tsinghua University, Tsinghua Academy of Art & Design, and Tsinghua Department of Construction Management.
