Race relations after Ferguson: a South African perspective

This is an Archive of a Past Event

A discussion around the tragic events in Ferguson and elsewhere.   In light of the racially charged protests, riots, violence and deaths, Rector Jonathan Jansen has been invited to a fireside chat moderated by Professor Grant Parker, also Co-director of the Center for African Studies.  South Africa certainly provides a fruitful perspective from which to consider recent events in this country.  Prof. Jansen holds a PhD in Education from Stanford and is currently a visiting scholar.  A traditional dessert, malva pudding, will be served to aid discussion for this relevant topic.
