Representing Indigeneity

Public exhibit opening and student curator talk. In this provocative new exhibit, Dahlton Brown, Native American Cultural Center student curator, explores the theme of Representing Indigeneity. Through uses historic visual media including prints, post cards, and magazines, this installation consider past “popular” portrayals of Native Americans and what they mean to Native students today. The space is not normally open to the public, so the exhibit opening will be one of a few opportunities to view these materials over the coming year.
