The Sonnet Ensemble; Kyungso Park, kayageum; and Thomas Schultz, piano, will perform the following selections:

  • Felix Mendelssohn: String Symphony No. 4
  • Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 13 in C, K.415
  • Hyo-shin Na: Song of the Bear for string ensemble and kayageum solo (World Premiere)
  • Josef Suk: Serenade for Strings in E-flat, Op. 6

The Sonnet Ensemble collaborates with Bay Area composers from diverse backgrounds and experiences in order to offer multicultural musical experiences. Kyungso Park is a kayageum player from South Korea. Thomas Schultz has an international reputation, both as an interpreter of music from the classical tradition and as one of the leading exponents of the music of our time. Schultz is a member of Stanford's piano faculty.
