This is an Archive of a Past Event
Student docents are on hand to answer questions and reveal hidden histories and design secrets of the Stanford Archaeology Center's three Before Stanford exhibits:
-
Constructing a Country Dream: Finds from the Stanfords’ Palo Alto Mansion
- Collecting in Life and Death: The Curatorial Legacy of Leland Stanford Jr.
In Stanford’s 125th year, new scholarship is remaking the university’s founding narrative, which in fact stretches back over 6000 years and includes diverse cultures and peoples. These exhibits reveal deep, ongoing ties between campus lands and many interconnected communities throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
