Raised in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, Angela Pneuman was a Stegner Fellow at Stanford, a Presidential Fellow at SUNY Albany, and the recipient of the inaugural Alice Hoffman Prize from Ploughshares. Her collection Home Remedies was hailed as “call[ing] to mind Alice Munro” by the San Francisco Chronicle. Lay It on My Heart is her first novel.
