The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has brought significant change to the U.S. health care system. And the law has its share of both vocal supporters and opponents. What, exactly, does the ACA do? And what, if any, changes might we expect to the law given that yet another presidential election is on the horizon?Lanhee Chen is the David and Diane Steffy Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution and Director of Domestic Policy Studies and Lecturer in Public Policy at Stanford. His current research focuses on health policy, campaigns and elections, economic policy, and California politics. Chen currently serves as a presidentially-appointed member of the Social Security Advisory Board and was the Policy Director on Mitt Romney's presidential campaign in 2012.
