Reese Erlich, author of Inside Syria: The Backstory of Their Civil War and What the World Can Expect (2014). Reese has written widely on the Middle East and U.S. foreign policy for the Global Post and other outlets. He has recently done on-the-ground reporting from Iraqi Kurdistan.
Linda Hess, Senior Lecturer in Religious Studies. Linda teaches courses on Gandhi, nonviolence, and violence, and is a co-director of the Peace+Justice Studies Initiative at Stanford.
Martin Hellman, Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering at Stanford and winner of the School's Engineering Hero award, has long been active as an advocate for peace and the ethical use of technology. His important work on nuclear weapons is represented at Martin is a co-inventor of public key cryptography, for which he has received numerous awards.
