Working with United States Census Data

Jon Stiles is the Data Resources Lead at UC Berkeley, where he helped to build the D-Lab. The D-Lab is a hub for social data scientists. Stiles will talk about using United States Census Data and the network of RDCs (Research Data Centers)
The Research Data Centers provide restricted access to non-public Census Bureau data in a secure research environment to qualified researchers for statistical purposes. Find out what projects are appropriate for RDCs proposals. Stanford University's Academic Technology Specialist for the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRiSS), Vijoy Abraham, manages the Stanford secure research facilities and works closely with Jon Stiles to make sure that the Stanford facilities are compliant. Come find out more about these research options and working with sensitive data.
