Get to know the 2014-2015 Hume Undergraduate Fellows

Since 2013, the Humanities Center has awarded the Hume Humanities Honors Fellowship to seniors writing an honors thesis in one of Stanford’s humanities departments. This year’s cohort consists of eight students who come from English, History, American Studies, Philosophy, and Anthropology.
Coming from such a broad spectrum of fields, this year’s fellows have tackled topics that range from the war on terror, midwestern farmers, and white female rappers to Samuel Beckett's drama, Southwestern courier fashions, and Kant’s philosophy.
We asked each of the Stanford seniors to share how they first became interested in their thesis topic, their research methods, and some of the more surprising aspects of their findings so far. You can read the Q&A interviews with the 2014-2015 Hume Undergraduate Fellows here.
