Annie Lamar is a PhD candidate in Classics, an MA student in Education Data Science, and a Stanford Data Science fellow. Her research focuses on creating and evaluating neural models for small datasets, and in particular for ancient language datasets. Annie’s work on developing models for generating metrically accurate archaic Greek poetry was recently published in the International Journal of Transdisciplinary AI. Annie also works at as graduate technical mentor for the Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis (CESTA). In her free time, Annie enjoys reading mystery novels, doing yoga, and hiking with her dog, Maple.
