Karthick Ram Manoharan is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. He was previously Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellow at the University of Wolverhampton where he worked on the research project "Freedom from Caste: The Political Thought of Periyar E.V. Ramasamy in a Global Context." He is the author of Periyar: A Study in Political Atheism (Orient BlackSwan, 2022), Frantz Fanon: Identity and Resistance (Orient BlackSwan, 2022) and the co-editor of Rethinking Social Justice (Orient BlackSwan, 2020). He received his PhD from the Department of Government, University of Essex. 

Manoharan was nominated by the Center for South Asia.
