Kendra is a cartoonist. She draws to make sense of the world. Her work appears in The New Yorker, Fantasy and Science Fiction Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Alpinist, Barron’s, Woman’s World, and many others. She also draws cartoons and graphics for the Red Cross and other organizations to help them clarify their thoughts and communicate their message. She teaches a range of skills to individuals and groups including drawing skills, ideation skills and how to develop a lifelong creative practice. Kendra is based in New York City but goes for long hikes and bike rides that sometimes last for months and she draws what she finds there.
Kendra received her BA in anthropology from Stanford University. She studied art through continuing education classes at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, and through extensive use of the public library.
