Lauren Whitney Adams is a seventh-year PhD student in the Department of History. As a Digital Public Fellow, she works as an editor for Arcade, a digital salon for humanities research and reflection. Her regular tasks include preparing, reviewing, correcting, verifying, and finalizing content for digital publication as part of Arcade's Colloquies feature. The larger process also entails consulting with Colloquy curators to create and approve clusters of humanities works (e.g., book chapters, journal articles, blog posts, informal essays, podcasts, etc.) on topics of emerging interest. Additionally, designing and organizing a Colloquy involves relationship-building outside of Stanford, as editors liaise with a variety of authors and partners to secure permissions, obtain existing content, and generate new content.
