Learning Together About Immigration Policies and Experiences

OpenXChange is pleased to present: "Learning Together About Immigration Policies and Experiences” on Thursday, May 12, from 3:30-5 pm in Branner Hall Lounge, 655 Escondido Rd. The event is open to all members of the Stanford campus community.

Come explore the way policies and rhetoric around immigration have impacted immigrant communities in the U.S., with a particular focus on this issue in the context of an election year. The program, which will include breakout sessions, will feature a distinguished Stanford panel, including:

• Jayashri Srikantiah, founding director of the Stanford Law School’s Immigrants’ Rights Clinic (moderator)

• Shanto Iyengar, Chandler Chair in Communication, Professor of Political Science and Director of the Political Communication Laboratory

• Ana Raquel Minian, Assistant Professor, Department of History and Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity (CCSRE).

• Greg Walton, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology
