The Eurasian Empires workshop series is starting the academic year with a panel-discussion on the theme, "Global Histories of Capitalism."
The panel will bring together members of the Stanford History Department specializing in different fields and regions within and beyond Eurasia to reflect on our understanding of histories of capitalism from a regional and comparative perspective.

It introduces the Eurasian Empires Workshop's theme of "histories of capitalism" for the academic year, which will include three broad and interrelated sub-themes: (1) Labor Relations; (2) Property Regimes; and (3) Oceanic Connections.
