Whole Minds

Are you using your whole mind?

In our age of the attention economy and AI, the work of the humanities—that is, analysis, interpretation, and judgment—is more important than ever.

This podcast series features thinkers at the leading edge of humanities research. How does their work confront enduring questions about our world? And how are the traditional fields of the humanities collaborating with ecology, law, medicine, and other forms of knowledge?

In each episode, Roland Greene, director of the Stanford Humanities Center, converses with a guest whose work reflects what’s exciting in the humanities today. They are joined by a co-host, a PhD student at Stanford with their own perspective on the topic. Together, they think about ideas, the past and future, the arts—everything that a whole mind can bring to our whole world.

New episodes are released monthly. You’re invited to listen in.
