Global Studies in Migration and Diaspora

Marta Sutton Weeks Research Workshop

Sponsored by the Stanford Humanities Center and made possible by support from Marta Sutton Weeks, the Mellon Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Humanities

The Global Studies in Migration and Diaspora workshop is a research hub dedicated to scholarly work on, and praxis in, migrant and diasporic communities across the globe. Our goal is to work creatively and capaciously: To engage with enduring and timely questions about migration and diaspora; to think critically about global systems that punish, prohibit, and force human movement; and to honor efforts that dare imagine dignified futures for migrant and diasporic communities. Through this vision, we hope to build bridges among scholars, communities, researchers, and practitioners—to put us all in shared dialogue.
