In Bed with the Right is a podcast that delves into conservative thought about gender and sexuality. For this special live taping, hosts Sarah Marshall, Moira Donegan and Adrian Daub join forces to discuss Anita Bryant. Between 1977 and 1980, Bryant was instrumental in the first campaign to roll back the first civil rights and protections extended to LGBTQ+ Americans. Her "Save our Children" campaign set the tone for anti-gay (and today anti-trans) backlash to this day. In this episode Sarah, Moira and Adrian will delve into Bryant’s life, times and legacy.
