Meeting Description:
Paul Rabinow (UC-Berkeley, anthropology) and the ARC Lab (UC-Berkeley)
In this seminar-style discussion, noted anthropologist Paul Rabinow (UC-Berkeley) will discuss his work over the past decade developing new language, practices, and movements to address what constitutes a "contemporary" object, representation, or incident. Using examples from humanistic inquiry, Rabinow will introduce a new way to analyze objects of the "contemporary," with an opportunity for participants to continue working with and collaborating on these new modes of inquiry.
