Luz Jiménez Ruvalcaba is a PhD candidate in the Program in Modern Thought and Literature at Stanford University. Her research and teaching interests lie at the intersection of literary criticism, comparative ethnic studies, and critical feminisms. Her interdisciplinary research agenda attends to the poetics of trauma and the socio-historical formations of familial violence, as well as Latinx Literature's expression of survival and refusal through some of its most violated characters. Born in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, México, Luz is from Inglewood, CA.
