Meeting Description: 

Thomas F. Tartaron is Associate Professor of Classical Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is also Chair of Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean World Graduate Group. His research interests include Greek Bronze Age and Classical archaeology, coastal archaeology, archaeological method and theory, and ethnoarchaeology. In his current research project, Tartaron examines oral history interviews of fishermen and women from modern Greece and the state of Kerala in southern India in order to gain comparative perspective on the Late Bronze Age Greek coastal communities.
